Hello,

The Java weenies at work are make'n me feel old. Industry leaders bashing on the old relational model. The front end guys talking classess and methods and I'm talking entities and procedures.

What do you do with a small OLTP application that appears to have some real world complex relationships. Do you try amd utilize the new Object View stuff in Ora 8 to facilitate your Java classes out front or do you go with a total OO set up such as ODI and Java. How about the Rogue Wave maping product as well as the new Jave Blend layer (lipstick on a bulldog?).

I read the white paper Oracle published on their object views and have made a quick pass through the manuals. But its going to take a little more investigating before I understand.

Anyone getting improvements from the object views and Java please let me know at.

Thanks
joe
