If you are only querying the tables, you do not need large rollback segments. You may, howver, need a very large temporary tablespace with large extent sizes for the joins.

As for having a single user account for everyone to use, yes, you can do that. However, you are probably better off creating a role that has all the access every user will need, then create individual users and assign that role as default. This way you can more easily track who is doing a query that is destroying performance or taking huge amounts of time.
