Re: Q:Table Fragmentation. How do I reduce it?

Couple of things to look out for...

• if the percent increase on the tablespace is set to 0, smon will not automatically coalesce the free space... where as a if it is set to 1 or any non 0 value it will.. I recommend you set it to 1 and overide ride this default at the table level.
• with regards to extents, export with compress=y and this will compress the extents. Export/Import is a good method to defrag a database. Be sure to back up everything up before you proceed.
• the other thing you may consider is re-creating your tables with appropriately sized initial , next and pctincrease storage parameters and re-import the data with ignore=y on the import so that when the table already exists it simply inserts the rows.
