Not correct,
you can not have an extent greater than a datafile, but you CAN HAVE a table
(or tablepsace) greater than a datafile due the fact that a table contains
one or more extents and each extent might be 2GB (or a tablespace contains
one or more datafile).

I worked with HP 10.10 and tablespaces > 50GB . The "problem" we had was with
backup/restore, due to slow media devices and short backup/restore windows.
