There probably is a limit (which I don't know, there is limit to everything), but 3500 is no problem, I am guessing not even close to the limit. I currently have approx. 6500 tables/views and another approx. 16,500 in other objects (packages,procs,synonyms, functions, indexes,etc) in our DB.
