Hi sorry for intrusion.

I have a backup created by Backup Manager (Ora Enterprise Manager Tools). It has created copies of the datafiles, logfiles and controlfiles. But of the copies of the datafiles, only the file of the System Tablespace is of the original size. The rest are smaller ! So simple substitute does not work (data file block read error). Probably the files were somehow packed. Does anybody know how to recover from this kind of backup ?

I've got an Oracle server 7.3.2.3.0 on Win NT 4.

Thanks in advance Received on Sun Jan 25 1998 - 00:00:00 CST
