There are two ways to do this in Oracle (v7.2 and later, I think; I'm not sure about 7.1). Both methods are described in the book "Distributed Systems, Volume II: Replicated Data" (which is part of the standard Oracle documentation set).

You can use either Multiple Master replication (described in Chapter 3), or updatable snapshots (described in Chapter 4). I haven't used either, so I don't know of any problems with them.
