Only in terms of looking at the data. If the user that created the snapshot can only read the information, then so can the intruder. However, they will have access to the information via the snapshot anyway. The only way that the intruder can actually access the tables is to know SQL construct, including database links. The truth is, you can't lock a system down completely, your security is only as reliable as your users.
