Hey Folks...


      Forgive the rookie question...  but, we are new with Oracle and
are trying to get into SqlPlus.  It keeps asking for a userid &
password.  Every time we enter a userid & password we get the
following error ORA - 01033  initialization or shutdown in progress.
We want to get into SqlPlus to create a few tablespaces.  Thanks...
