You're probably in the correct group if your really interesting questions are Oracle RDBMS related.

The reason you see different messages is probably because of the different news servers - ideally you should be able to connect to the same news server from both home and work. But for this type of question, you're in the wrong newsgroup - to be honest I'm not really sure which newsgroup you should go to then. Hopefully somebody else can help here.
