Limit the memory usage per Oracle instance ? Needless to say, you will be sacrificing performance by using less memory - but since database performance is not an issue (or is it?), this may help: - Decreasing the size of your database block buffers - Decreasing the size of your shared pool.

But if I read your posting correctly, you are running one instance per developer !!?
If you are, then I'd suggest giving them each their own schemas in the same instance instead.
