Hi .
I don't think that is the problem ...
If Supian is getting an ORA 01555 . The available space on the rollback segment tablespace is not the problem.

The error problem should be somewhat like "can not allocate next extent of size xxxx on tablespace yyyy" if that is the problem .

ORA 01555 error is a common error for Oracle databases . In fact we had some discussion and a thread going around last week . And if you are going to check the newsgroup archive this problem has surfaced many many times..

I just have one question before I can repost a possible solution .
Is it an ORA 01555 error or is it another one ? , b'cause what bothers me is you had the problem on a development machine , when this is more likely to occur in a production machine where you have constant updates, insert, deletes while a long querry runs ...
