I tested Forms 3.0 against an Oracle 8 database and it worked. Granted the test was vanilla, no fancy user exits or anything, so perhaps someone has done further testing.

The key is to install the Forms and such in a separate Oracle Home directory, and use TWO_TASK (on a Unix system) to connect to the database.
