Hi

I know the answer to my question may dependent on the situationi(problem), but I still want to ask couple of question about foreign keys.

  1. Is there a rule of thumb for the number of foreign keys on a table??
  2. What are the disadvantages of having many(10 to 15) foreign keys on one table?? (I am not sure if 10 to 15 are considered "many")

What I want to know is at what point you'd say "enough foreign keys!" and build the constraint logic into application code.

Thank you very much in advance
