updatable snapshots

I need to create triggers to updatable snapshots. Should I create them
to SNAP$_<table> ? I get error if I try to use the snapshot (which is a
view). I also need indeces which have to be created to SNAP$_<table> but
why cannot they be unique (regarding to book Oracle 7 Server Distributed
Systems Replicated Data) ?
