Renaming Tablespaces

I have been researching the Oracle docs for a way to rename
tablespaces, but have come to believe that Oracle doesn't support
it.  Short of dropping/recreating the tablespaces, does anyone
have an alternative?



I am using Oracle 7.3.2.3 on Solaris 2.5.1
