Can we create temporary tables in Oracle?

Is there any concept like what we do in SYBASE?     i.e. In SYBASE if we create a table starting with #, then that table will be

    treated as a temporary table.
Is there anything like this ORACLE?

Thanks in Advance,
SeeniRaj.K
