Make certain you have PLENTY of space in the filesystem in which you will install Oracle. Also be aware that anytime a product is reinstalled or relinked, you will have two copies of the "executable" in the $ORACLE_HOME/bin subdirectory. The "old" copy will have a .O suffix added to it. On some of my systems I have limited space and have to delete the .O copies as they are created to keep the filesystem from filling up before the install/relink completes.
