Q: Need more Semaphores

We need to have 6 instances of Oracle 7.3.3 running on a SUN Solaris 2.5.1 box. Everything I bring up a 3rd instance, it does not matter what the combination is, I get an error about "can't start instance. not enough semaphores." Sorry, I forgot to jot down the ORA error number.

Anyway, I've increased the system variable that is supposed to control semaphores, rebooted, and I still get the message.

What do I need to do now?
