Re: NT Installation Help Needed

Decide where you want the Oracle database to run either NT server or NT workstation, then install it there with the files local to that machine, not through the network.

To access the database from a client workstation, install at least the SQLNET client to it and configure the TNSNAMES.ORA file (perhaps using EasySQLNET config utility) to point to the host where you installed the database. Install SQL*plus also.

Don't try and set up Oracle to access it's datafiles remotely via a network.
