: When I attempt to create a tablespace, I receive message:

:  ORA-01118 CANNOT ADD ANY MORE DATABASE FILES



It's possible that your DB_FILES value in your init<sid>.ora is just set too
low.  Shutdown the database, increase this value, restart and see if that 
solves your problem.
