Shutting Down

Hello there.

Last week I was abroad to migrate one platform to another: Server: Dec Alpha/Open VMS/Oracle 7.1 to Dec Alpha/NT 4.0/ORACLE 7.3.2
(Alpha)

Clients: 10*Intel/WFW/Dev2k/Delphi to 10*Intel/NT4.0WS/Dev2K/Delphi
(new soft on 32 bits)

Three instances were migrated, a total of 18 Gbytes. I used a swap configuration: Intel, NT4.0, Oracle 7.3.3 (Intel)

I have one big problem: Shutting down NT Server kills the Oracle processes and provokes a crash recovery the next startup. I badly need to know how to automatically attach my Oracle shutdown scripts to the Start/Shutdown in NT, because the client might simply shutdown the machine and he doesn't like a Shutting Oracle Icon.

Is there an ending command file (like the starting one: strt%SID%.cmd), which once put in an appropriate directory is automatically run at shutdown ?

Does anyone use another trick ?

Regards and thank you,
