In every version of Oracle, there are default password for sys, system ... you can find all information needed to continue on the online help of Oracle. Under Oracle8, I thing there are html files

Everything is described, from the pre installtion to the post installtion

As you never used Oracle before, I thing you should spend some times learning Oracle. To be successfull with Oracle, you can not use it as easly as MS Access or other dbms of the same kind
