ACB (Actual Cost of Database) Report

Do you how much it costs you in taxes whenever you buy a database software
like Oracle, Sybase, Informix, MS SQL server? Now read below and look at the analysis and ways to avoid paying the taxes
and yet continuing your business with alternatives :-

Good News : U.S. President Bill Clinton says "No taxes on Internet Products!"
(And it means NO TAXES on PostgreSQL !!)

American companies MUST take advantage of this tax policy and it will save you/companies millions of dollars!!

Commercial databases(like Oracle, Sybase, Informix, Microsoft) pay the following taxes, below oracle corp is taken as an example but it applies to ALL OF sybase, informix and Microsoft SQL server, break-up of which is like this -

Oracle corp federal income taxes : 22%
Oracle corp pay state taxes : 4%
Oracle corp pay employment taxes : 5%
Oracle corp pay social security taxes	: 7.5%
Oracle corp pay medicare taxes : 2%
Oracle corp pay employee health insurance	: 5%
Oracle corp pay employee IRA, sick leaves	: 4%
Oracle corp pay employee benefits : 2%
	Oracle corp pay marketing/advertisements	: 10%
	Oracle corp building costs/utilities	: 10%
Oracle corp computer costs/Unix OSes cost	: 5%
Oracle corp actual cost of R&D : 15%

Oracle corp profit margin : (100-total of above)% is take home balance.

Now the employees of oracle corp !!! --->

Oracle employees pay federal income taxes : 22%
Oracle employees pay state taxes : 4%
Oracle employees pay social security tax	: 7.5%
Oracle employees pay medicare tax : 3%
	Oracle employees pay unemployment-insuranc: 3%
	Oracle employees pay disability-insuranc	: 1%
	Oracle employees pay motor-vehicle tax	: 2%
Oracle employees take home balance : (100-total of above)%

Now the Database customers!!! --->

Database Customers pay Sales tax : 7.5%
	Database upgrades costs(one year) : 10%

Even though Oracle corp and Oracle employees are paying these taxes but WHO is the REAL guy paying all these taxes?? Ofcourse, it is the brain dead, dull-head database customers!!!

As you can see very clearly, all these costs do not go directly for the development of the database. When you buy a commercial database,  about 70% of amount goes to taxes+misc, and the balance 15% for actual database R&D costs. Hence the real worth and value of  the database is only 15%!!! (A bare skeleton goes to database and the meat to various taxes!!).

Now, wake-up, arise and awake and declare a WAR on taxes with PostgreSQL!!

PostgreSQL has the advantage over commercial databases as there is no direct tax since it is made on the internet. A very vast group of American companies contribute to the development of the PostgreSQL. PostgreSQL is 100% free and complete source code is given to you!!

What is it? - "It is 100% FREE OF COST!!"

PostgreSQL Version 6.1.1 RDBMS database ANSI SQL 92 compliant and  is a free database, complete source code is given to you and is a Relational Database System compliant with ANSI SQL92 and SQL89 and runs on diverse hardware platforms and Operating systems. Millions of PostgreSQL is installed as data servers, data center servers, Web databases, WWW http database servers and application servers.

PostgreSQL is the ONLY FREE database in the world which supports ANSI SQL standards like SQL92, SQL89, ISO SQL. It is much more advanced and is a object oriented relational database. PostgreSQL can store more data types than traditional datatypes like integer, characters, etc. - it can store object datatypes like classes (Version 7.0 will make this capabilities more advanced).

PostgreSQL runs on Solaris, SunOS, HPUX, AIX, Linux, Irix, and each & every flavor of unix. Port to Windows 95/NT is underway.

How can I trust it?

Regression test package is included in the distribution and let your computer do the verfication for you to check if all the ANSI SQL 92 /ISO SQL commands run as per technical specifications. The test package has hundreds of SQL statements which will checked very quickly by your computer. Ofcourse, you can add even more tests!!

What is it's description?
