Sanjay,

I am partial to UNIX based systems. However, it is proven that Unix based systems are faster. And your are talking about 1gig of RAM so UNIX is the way. Though it is more spendier. But you also state that you expect 50 - 100 updates to the oracle database. That's not much of a load at all for an oracle server for unix or NT. NT should be able to handle it without a problem. I do 1000's of transactions within hours to Unix and NT based oracle servers with minimal slowdowns.
