Hi,

Please help in settinup the Oracle Names Server ?. I went through the Oracle Names Administrator's Guide, but it confuses a lot as it talks about high configuration like global connection. I would like to have sample network configuration files like names.ora, sqlnet.ora, listener.ora and tnsnames.ora files on Oracle Names Server, Oracle Server and Client machines. For example, say I am having two unix servers whose host names are unix1 and unix2 respectively. I want to make unix1 as Oracle Names server and unix2 for Oracle Server. Also, assume that there is one database instance sample in unix2 server. From my clinet (say NT) I want to connect to sample database through Oracle Names server. How do I setup ?. I would really appreciate if you can help me in this regard.

Thanks in Advance,

Bala. Received on Wed Aug 13 1997 - 00:00:00 CDT
