running server manager from root

Hi,

I'm running 7.3.2.1 on AIX 4.1.5 (SP2)

I have a problem with svrmgrl in that after setting my environment correctly for root,
svrmgrl prompts me for a password when I issue a connect internal.

I have checked all the usual things and root is in group dba.

This did not happen with either sqldba or svrmgrl at 7.2.2.4.

I don't have this problem for any other user.

Can anybody shed any light on this problem?

Is this true on other platforms?

Regards
