   It is my understanding that NT uses a consistemt blocksize of 4K (8sectors / cluster). I may be wrong...

   BTW: When creating a database on UNIX, I would like to be able to determine the OS blocksize for myself rather that asking the SysAdmin. Is there an easy "generic" way of doing so?
