Which Oracle? on NT or Solaris?

Hi gurus,

Can anyone tell me the differences between running Oracle 7.3.2 or 8 in NT or Sparc Solaris? We'll be using Oracle to teach a class of ~100 students who will use SQL*NET, SQL*C, Developer 2000, and JDBC as well.

What sort of hardware requirement will be needed for such configuration? Can a 2x125MHz hypersparc SS10 with 128MB do the job well? How about NT? Is it mature enough to so such operation? Do I need dual processor or should I invest in as much RAM as possible?

Thanks in advance,
