sigsegv when starting orainst

everytime i start the orainst install program for the oracle 7 server, it crashes with a segmentation fault.

The system is configured as follows:
 Sparc Solaris 2.5.1 (with kernel patch 103640-08)  Oracle Server 7.3.2.1

The gdb debugger shows the error location in the system _smalloc function.

Any suggestions ?
