It is possible to recover from this situation but you have to be VERY CAREFUL and know what you are doing.

Essentially what you will have to do is create a new instance + database using your old backup files. There are quite a few ways of doing this , the differences largely depend whether you will be using the same server or not.
Once the new instance has been created you can use the archive logs to recover that database to the required point ( only until your missing ones I'm afraid ) and then use export and import to transfer the individual table data from the new database back to the live one.

As I said you need to pretty au fait with recovery techniques but I may be able to give some more detailed advice if you wish.
