RAID-3 could offer good performance for your Oracle REDO LOGFILES
because it's optimized for sequential writes and that's what the
logfiles are doing. BTW, the Sybase logfile is often placed on RAID-3
for this reason. I recommend testing performance before implementation
in your envirnment (i.e, this reccomendation should not be taken as a
good solution for everyone, just something to try). Bryan
