I haven't used Bitmapped indexes myself yet. Pete Cassidy of Database Consultants, Inc. gave a presention "Performance Comparisons Using Bitmap Indexes, Hash Clusters, and Histograms" at IOUW in Dallas recently. His paper is #23 in the conference proceedings.
