In can be done but why would you want to ?

As a database Informix is a good product but if you are an Oracle shop already I can't see any reason to switch, as Informix doesn't bring any benefits over Oracle.

And before anybody who is in love with Informix flames me .... For the purposes of this question I think it reasonable to work on the premise that both are reasonably equivalent.
