it is my understanding and experience that Enterprise Manager needs tcp/ip protocol in order to run because it is an intended tool for remote administration. you must make sure that tcp/ip is installed on your machine and then edit the tnsnames.ora file to use tcp/ip as it's protocol....by the way, which version on 7.3? 7.3.2....??? Are you using Windows NT 4.0 or 3.51?
