Performs the usual functions of a DBA, which include responsibility for database definition, organization, protection, efficiency, documentation, long-term requirements and operational guidelines. In addition the focus of this position is larger in scope. The SR. DBA is responsible for the overall Corporate Data Architecture. Larger issues of connectivity to workstations, future directions, and new tools will take precedence over more day-to-day functioning.

Consults with, advises and trains users of the various databases. Assists in the training of less senior staff members. Prepares activity and progress reports regarding the activities of the DBA function. Possesses and applies a broad knowledge of applications programming and operations to assignments that are complex in nature and is looked to by others as a technical RDBMS expert.

To Qualify: you must have 5+ years experience as a DBA or senior developer in an RDBMS environment.
