Description:
You will work closely with senior team to implement an Internet-based educational subscription service. Primary responsibilities include the design and development of course production tools and web based on-line services. The core of the product is an Oracle database application which will dynamically generate pages of instructional content. The engineer will be tightly integrated with the senior team and will be responsible for creating technical plans that forward business objectives.

Experience with the following technologies is desirable:

Oracle development tools
Oracle database design
Personal Oracle
Oracle Web Server
Web programming (Oracle Request Broker,CGI, Java, Javascript, HTML, VRML, SGML, etc.)
C, C++
Solaris Unix
TCP/IP and network topologies
Macintosh OS and Windows 95/NT

Qualifications, Skills and Experience desired:

Degree in computer science or related field of study Experience with Oracle databases and development tools Experience with development of web database applications Training and/or experience in computer-human interface / human factors Ability to develop a technical specification from functional specs Experience working closely with other developers and monitoring progress and schedules
Strong writing skills and excellent oral communication skills Highly creative and organized
Track record of success and accomplishment
