Hello,
we have got an ACCESS 2.0 database connected to an ORACLE 7.2 database via the ORACLE ODBC driver (SQORA72N).
I have built an ORACLE table with a char(1) and attached that table in ACCESS. Everything seems to work fine (select shows existing records; insert row appears at bottom of table) until I try to change this char(1) data in one of the rows or add a new one: ACC accepts input, but when changing the focus to another record (i.e. 'commit'), ACC says 'deleted' and the record is lost.
However, defining char(2) cures the problem and I can store a one-character-item (1!). It seems as if ACC/ODBC/ORACLE stores an additional zero at the end ???
Any ideas?
Thanks for any help!
