Oracle told me you can use Workgroup with up to 4 CISC CPUs (e.g. Pentiums) or 2 RISC CPUs (e.g. SGI/Mips R10000) in the same box. Anything beyond that requires Enterprise. Depending on your application, be aware that this may cost you a fortune in licensing fees: to use Oracle in a web environment, you will have to adjust your license to 20 concurrent licenses per CPU for Workgroup ($$$), or 32 concurrent licenses per CPU for Enterprise ($$$$).
