My obviously biased recommendation would be to go the NT/Oracle7 route.
Oracle offers two types of server bundles for most platforms, the
Workgroup Server, which comes pre-configured and doesn't require a
Master-certified DBA, and the Enterprise Server, which is the full
blown edition. Visit Oracle's web site at www.oracle.com and the
