LCC-00111 Error. Will not use COST as optimizer ??

Hi,


When I try to startup the database with optimizer_mode in initxxx.ora
changed from   RULE   to   COST	  , I get the following error
(translated from Danish):


LCC-00111 value is not within valid range (optimizer_mode).
Why do I get this error?


Any ideas/knowledge welcome.
