oracle database with java applets....

        hi guys... recently i am doing a project dealing with oracle database and java. I was wondering if there is a simple to retrieve the location of the image files from personal oracle 7 through a java applet and display the retrieved image files on the net. By the way... sorrie if this is a stupid question but i was wondering if anyone would tell mi wat the type "long raw" is used for and wat's the difference between type varchar and type varchar2... Thanks in advance for your help :)
