Oracle on NT <=> AS400

Hi all,

I've got a network of wfw clients running an Omnis7 application against an NT server running Oracle. Also in the office is an AS400, also networked to the PC's, running an application written in PL1 (I think). I would like to be able to access data on the AS400 from my Oracle clients. I know this is possible, & probably there are a number of options, but I'm unsure of the details:

What software do I need on the NT to be able to send a query from the PC to Oracle that 'passes through' the NT and actually queries the AS400?

What do I need on the AS400?

Will I be able to write to the AS400 as well as read?

What hardware do I need?

tia
