Tablespace tuning with RAID

I am looking for informed opinions regarding tablespace tuning in a RAID
environment.  Some folks suggest that table and index placement are
meaningless in a RAID environment, at least with striping.  I still suspect
that it is better to have multiple stripe sets with indices and tables
separated, than one giant stripe set with everything lumped together.



What do others think?
