Using Array processing for Replication

Hello (again)!

Has anyone implemented array processing using a procedural language for database replication? I am implementing a replication solution for a VLDB and found that snapshots are not always the right solution. Any ideas, suggestions? Symmetric rep, in my humble opinion, does not appear to be stable enough and requires too much administration to be useful at the moment.
