You will want to ensure that your consultants have fixed IP addresses at their end of the system so that you can use the protocol.ora file to set 'tcp.invited_nodes' so stop attacks on your database.

You may also want to put the listener onto a non-standard port (1521, 1526, and 1527 are commonly used).
