Hello
In article "Configuring Oracle Server for VLDB" ( Author Cary V. Millsap, Oracle Corporation ) I read the following:
======================= Cut ==========================================
Oracle7.3 supports standby configurations, and they can be implemented with UNIX software in versions prior to 7.3. Oracle Services sells a service and tool package called Oracle DRS that manages Oracle Server hot standby configurations. Jeff Seely describes this package in a detailed technical report on Oracle DRS.
======================= End of Cut ===================================
Thus, I have the questions:
1. What UNIX platforms and Oracle Server versions can be implemented Oracle standby configurations in versions prior to 7.3 on? 2. What is the tool package called Oracle DRS ?

Regards,
