Andre,
we have a few Pentium based systems with SQL6.5, Oracle 7.2 , Microsoft IIS  and Oracle's Webserver in 32MB serving WEB-clients without any major problems.
(the WEB clients do not update the databases directly) Oracle is definitely more memory hungry than SQLserver. Regards,
