hi.

we've been using Oracle server on a Sun for 1.5 yrs, with win95 clients connected thru SQLNET TCP/IP.

I'm trying to set up a new NT server, with Oracle Workgroup server and connect from a win95 client.

I can do a dos PING from the win95 client to the NT server, so I have a good connection.

what do I need to put in my win95 client ORACLE.INI so that I can see the database on
the NT box?

I've tried

SQLNET DBNAME beq-local.world=t:colorad:ORCL

where beq-local.world is the database that came with NT workgroup server,

colorad is the NT machine name

should I use a different database? beq-local is the only one I can get to start on the NT.

thanks for any help.
