connect to NT server 7.3.2 glacially slow

Hi,

        I've just recently installed Oracle Workgroup Server v. 7.3.2 on WindowsNT, and connecting to it (with SQL*PLUS, FeebleBuilder, etc.) is insanely slow compared to connecting to our SCO Oracle Enterprise Server 7.0.12. Is this just stupidity on the part of the NT server, or is there some tuning parm that I need to be aware of that applies to this?
